Welcome
Welcome to the second edition of TRItalk.
As spring is finally trying to force its way in after a cold and depressing winter Tricorn Systems entered 2009 with a degree of optimism. Although a number of our customers are voicing concern about reduced order books, many are complaining of being too busy!
We continue to win new customers [see Recent Orders) and are heartened by the strength of our new business pipeline - thanks mostly to our new Sales Manager, Nick Walsh (see Other News).
A new release of the Tricorn Enterprise system is scheduled for May which will contain some useful new functionality for both existing customers (on support agreements) and new prospects. A key new feature for this release is automatic alerts/warnings on parts/materials and drawings (see Products Update). At the same time we are researching requirements to take Tricorn to the next level with the ability to provide charts and graphs of KPIs and other performance data selected by job function (Managing Director, Production Controller, Purchasing Manager etc).
The take-over of the Concept MRP/ERP system from Innogistic has been completed and we are in the process of developing an integration plan for the key Concept functionality such as the MRP "Purchasing Recommendations".
Tricorn Systems will be running its first Customer Golf Day on 24 April and all customers are invited to attend (see Events).
Finally, if you have any questions or issues you would like to discuss with me directly, please get in touch.
Regards
Colin Reardon [colinr@tricornsystems.co.uk]

Products Update
Coding for the next release (6.0.5) of the Tricorn Enterprise system is well underway with a projected delivery date of May 2009. The new release will contain the following key functionality:
Warnings & Alerts: Whenever a problem occurs with a part, material or drawing, Tricorn will allow the user to record a description of the problem so that the next time the part or drawing is requested an"alert" will be posted to the user's screen informing them of the previous problem so that appropriate action can be taken.
Email Invoices: The new release will enable the ability to email pdf invoices and delivery notes directly from within the system in addition to the current purchase orders and quotes.
Sage Interface: The interface between Tricorn Enterprise and Sage Accounts [Line 50] will become tighter. Rather than having to export a .csv file from Tricorn, the transfer of data between the systems will occur "under the surface".
