Welcome

Welcome to TRItalk.

Today Tricorn Systems Ltd. celebrates its first birthday as a "Limited" company! Soon after we launched the limited company, the UK entered its worst recession in living memory and any company associated with the manufacturing sector found their order books shrinking and expected orders being deferred. We were not immune from the downturn and the first half of 2009 proved tough! However, we firmly believe we're executing to our business strategy and development roadmap. Since the start of July we've picked up five new customers [see Recent Orders) and are hearing more positive sounds from other prospective customers.

Although we have had Tricorn Enterprise Rel. 7.0 ready for a few weeks, we didn't want to "officially" announce it until we were confident of its stability. We have now started installing it at new customer sites and will start upgrading Rel 6 customers in the coming weeks. If you would like to be upgraded to Rel 7.0 soon, please let us know. You can read about Rel 7.0 functionality here.

Part of Tricorn's strategy is to provide applications that our customers can use. If we can't build it ourselves, we will partner with "best of breed" systems developers that share a business ethic and similar develop-ment environment to Tricorn. The first of these partnerships were completed recently and you can read more about Computime and their "RealTime" Time & Attendance system here and Seiki System's DNC and remote Workstation monitoring systems here. A partnership with a SQL-based CRM vendor should be announced soon!

Finally, if you have any questions or issues you would like to discuss with me directly, please let me know.

Regards
Colin Reardon [colinr@tricornsystems.co.uk]
